29 June 2011The Statement of Compliance for PRS

On the 23 rd May 2011 the Statement of Compliance with IACS QSCS was officially granted to the Polish Register of Shipping in the Head Office in Gdańsk.

The representatives of personnel and top management of PRS – Mr. Jan Jankowski- President of PRS, Mr. Jerzy Wyrzykowski – Board Member participated in the meeting.

ZSJZ was represented by Mr. Witold Pokora – ZSJZ Deputy, Mr.Andrzej Prażuch – a representative of the Regional Office in Gdańsk and Ms. Dorota Akslar – the coordinator of QSCS programme.

It was a significant event not only for ZSJZ, which became a pioneer in management system certification in compliance with IQMSR, but also for PRS, which thanks to the statement became a member of IACS society.

Classification Societies associated in IACS have a worldwide respected brand recognition what is connected with an exceptionally high standard of safety in shipping.

As of 3 June 2011 2011 PRS was accepted by IACS Council as a member of the International Association of Classification Societies.
